Atanu Mukherjee

Atanu started his career with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Boston and was in various leadership capacities as Consultant, Engineering Manager and Technical Director. In his consulting capacity at DEC he worked extensively with the international steel and manufacturing industry.

Prior to joining DBTC, he was the Chief Architect at Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation, leading the innovation and technology office. Earlier, Atanu was at Microsoft in Redmond, WA as their Group Program Manager / Product Manager leading business and product strategies for the Windows platform. He was also the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Versada Networks, a wireless communications software product company based out of Seattle, WA.

Atanu holds a joint graduate degree in Engineering and Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s School of Engineering and The MIT Sloan School of Management. He was also a Research Fellow at MIT's Laboratory for Computer Science where his team's pioneering research laid the groundwork for powering core components of today's internet infrastructure. Atanu is a Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in the areas of business strategy, product marketing and operations management. He was an executive advisor to several Wall Street hedge funds and is on the boards of several technology firms. He was recently elected to the ‘World Who's Who 2012' in Science and Engineering.

Atanu is an avid golfer and can be frequently seen at the golf club's range at the crack of dawn. In his free time he enjoys photography, playing the piano and polishing his Waltz moves. He lives with his wife, daughter and son in the eastern suburbs of Calcutta.
